The first project implementation meeting was organised by the WHO regional Office for Europe.

The Regional Project Manager and eight Country Project Managers attended the meeting. The Project Managers from FYRM and Moldova were unable to attend the meeting. The Office of the Stability Pact in Brussels, and the WHO Regional Office for Europe were also represented throughout the meeting. From Croatia, the host country, the SEE Health Coordinator and the Director of the A. Stampar School of Public Health attended the meeting.

The objectives of the meeting, in particular, included: to discuss and agree upon the delivery of the planned outputs, to agree on the implementation plan for 2005, to outline the draft timetable for national and subregional action, to identify major players and steps for collaboration between and within countries, to look into a sustainable future collaboration and to discuss and introduce a harmonious managerial approach to the project implementation at both intercountry and country levels towards a successful completion of the Project Component One.
