National Meetings

The FCTC was signed on December 22, 2003 and was ratified on November 7, 2005.

National Meeting on Capacity Building in Tobacco Control

The National meeting was held on 19-21 February 2007 in Velingrad. The meeting was attended by 60 participants from all Bulgarian national institutions which are involved tobacco control.
The members of the Bulgarian delegation who participated at the Intersectoral workshop on capacity building in tobacco control for SEE countries that was held in Bled actively participated in the organization of the seminar. According to the Report of Bulgaria CPM, he training in Bled contributed a lot for the establishment of a close bond between the key experts from the represented ministries as well as for developing the National Program for smoking limitation in the Republic of Bulgaria for the period 2007 – 2010.
